Pentair: An Industrial Company With Many Secular Tailwinds By: Seeking Alpha INTRODUCTION TO PENTAIR AND WATER Pentair (NYSE:PNR) is a company that specializes in fluids and flow technologies, products, and solutions for a wide range of industries. The tumble in oil prices has hit Pentairs shares hard (down ~22% from their 52-week high hit last spring), and I think this present a solid opportunity for long-term investors to buy into this growing company. Before I get into the details of Pentair, I would like to highlight the reason I first discovered the company: water. Several years ago I developed an interest in water treatment and security. Only 2.5% of Earths water is fresh. Of this 2.5%, around 69% is locked up in glaciers and snowpack. Additionally, if global temperatures increase as expected over the next 85 years (between 2 and 11.5 F), we can expect a significant amount of this fresh water to melt, flow into oceans, and
